During her time in Washington, Slotkin worked on the failed foreign policy team for President Obama, which destroyed American leadership and left the world a more dangerous place. Slotkin helped push the unpopular and disastrous Iran deal on the American people. J Street PAC endorsed Slotkin because of her policies including her role as one of the “architects” of the Iran deal.
Slotkin’s support of the failed Obama foreign policy agenda didn’t stop with the Iran deal. She was also one of the leading figures in creating and then ignoring the threat of ISIS. In 2011, she advised Hillary Clinton to pull U.S. troops out of Iraq, partially because of Iranian opposition to having a US presence in Iraq. Removal of US troops supported by Iran is a factor that many experts now believe helped cause the rise of ISIS.
Following the rise of the brutal ISIS caliphate, Slotkin was accused by our allies in Iraq of ignoring the threat to appease the Iranian regime. She even ended her tenure at the Defense Department by trying to slow down Secretary Mattis’ push to speed up the war on ISIS.
Now that her career of failures in the executive branch is over, Slotkin is attempting to run for Congress to bring the Obama/Clinton foreign policy back to Washington. She moved to Michigan’s 8th district - where she’s never voted before - to take on Congressman Bishop.
In order to make up for her lack of Michigan ties, Elissa has enlisted her anti-Israel friends in Washington. She received an endorsement from J Street's PAC and with their help has already started to outraise her conservative opponent.
